Kapileswarapuram is a small village in East Godavari district, It’s 6 km from my hometown Teki. Ravulapalam is the nearest town to this village. Kottapeta, Amalapuram are nearby places.
With a bunch of friends used to visit Kapileswarapuram, because to get a signature with Mandal Revenue officer to submit at school, we almost all the time we had a chance to visit the Godavari.
Kapileswarapuram village is famous for movie shootings since 1980’s. Award winning movies like Sitaramayyagari Manavaralu, Sutradarulu was shooted here.
Kapileswarapuram is the river crossing point to nearby villages, people needs to cross the river to go Kottapeta and Amalapuram.
Dhanamma Marri is the banyan tree has more than 200 years old and has the number of branches across the 5 acres land, every Sunday most of the villagers near Kapileswarapuram are crossing the river to visit the place.
